Homeopathy

Homeopathy is a highly successful, natural form of medicine which investigates all aspects of health – physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. It recognises that all the symptoms are expressions of disharmony within the whole person and that it is the patient who needs treatment and not the disease.

It is based on the idea that like cures like, meaning that the way in which we become ill and the symptoms we feel are matched by those that the remedy would cause if it were repeatedly given to a healthy person. In a tiny but powerful dose, the remedy works with our vitality to stimulate those aspects which have been affected. Because the system is precise, there are no side effects.

What can homeopathy treat?

Just a few of the conditions which respond well to homoeopathic treatment are:

  • Allergies
  • Anxiety
  • Arthritis
  • Asthma
  • Attention deficit disorder
  • Depression
  • Eczema
  • Gastric disorders
  • Insomnia
  • Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)
  • Menopause
  • ME
  • Migraine and headaches
  • PMS and menstrual problems

How often will I need to come?

The initial consultation may last an hour or more. Your homoeopath will take a detailed case history and anything you say will be treated in the strictest confidence. You will receive your remedies and your practitioner will give you an estimate of how many sessions will be required and at what frequency you should attend – most people attend on a monthly basis.
