Gentle remedial therapy for young and old

Bowen Technique

The Bowen technique is a soft tissue remedial therapy, named after its innovator Tom Bowen, which can be used for the same range of conditions that are often treated by physiotherapists, chiropractors and osteopaths.

It is an exceptionally gentle therapy which does not use hard tissue manipulation, massage or equipment. It is very restful for the patient, helping to relieve pain quickly and effectively.

Between sets of moves the therapist will leave the room, allowing the client to rest. The break enables the body to take the actions it needs to.

What can the Bowen technique treat?

The Bowen technique can help with many musculoskeletal problems, such as:

  • Back pain
  • Frozen shoulder
  • Neck pain
  • Whiplash
  • Sciatica
  • Sports injuries

It can also ease problems such as:

  • Infant colic
  • Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)
  • Migraine
  • Asthma and respiratory problems
  • Hayfever

How often will I need to come?

On average, 3 or 4 treatments are required to feel long-lasting benefits and many clients choose to return about twice a year to stay feeling in top condition.
