Reflexology works on the principle that every organ and system of the body has a corresponding point or zone in the feet and hands. Your practitioner will use light pressure to massage each of the points in the toes, feet and ankles or hands and wrists, treating all of the systems of the body and encouraging balance.
What to expect from reflexology
Reflexology is a Therapy that is suitable for any age. Well trained reflexoligists do not claim to diagnose or cure.
Reflexology is an individual treatment tailored to you. All areas of the foot (or hand) are worked, but particular attention is given to the imbalanced areas, helping the body to restore its balance naturally.
After treatment clients usually feel wonderfully relaxed and less tense (many people fall asleep during treatment). You may feel further positive changes, such as, sleeping better and an improved mood and sense of wellbeing.
Think of it as an MOT for your body and mind!
Reflexology can be beneficial for many ailments, including:
- Skin conditions including eczema
- Respiratory conditions including bronchitis
- Migraine/ headaches
- PMS and menopausal problems
- Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)
- Chronic fatigue
- Stress, anxiety and depression
